Domestic violence is the willful intimidation, physical assault, battery, sexual assault, and/or other abusive behavior perpetrated by an intimate partner against another. It is an epidemic affecting individuals in every community, regardless of age, economic status, race, religion, nationality or educational background.

The role of the Resource Center of Somerset is to provide safe house protection, transitional housing and support  to the victims of domestic abuse as well as provide individual or group counseling, legal advocacy and ensure that protection is mainstreamed and integrated in other clusters and sectors.

The Resource Center of Somerset offers a variety of services to both women or families battered by domestic violence.
