About Us

The Resource Center of Somerset was created as means to fight back the negative effects of domestic violence on our society. Following the principle by which we are governed, we provide a safe house for the domestic violence victims.

Not only we offer emergency shelter for families escaping from that abusive environment, but we also provide a safe environment to talk to people who are willing to help them.

The Safe House is a short-term residential facility for women and their children seeking confidential refuge from an unsafe living situation.

Resource Center of Somerset provides court advocacy for clients involved in civil or criminal cases which are a result of domestic violence. Resource Center staff and trained volunteers can assist clients in a variety of ways.

The Transitional Housing program is designed to help women and their children bridge the gap between their time at the Safe House and living independently.

Our mission is to end domestic abuse and empower victims by providing protection, education and resources to the families affected.
